Three arrested in connection with beating, burglaries

At 11:51 p.m. Monday, McFarland police responded to the 100 block of San Pedro Street for a report of a man severely beaten with a baseball bat.
The victim was unresponsive and bleeding from his head and face. He suffered major injuries including bleeding to the brain and a broken leg.
Witnesses said there was an unprovoked altercation between the victim and three Hispanic men. Officers obtained suspect and vehicle descriptions and stopped a vehicle matching the description that contained the three suspects.
It was also discovered the suspects were responsible for three burglaries earlier in the evening.
Joey Morales, 53, and Pete Morales, 28, were booked on suspicion of offenses including burglary, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon. Johnny Evaro, 28, was booked on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy.
