Woman wanted for questioning in homicide

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman who is wanted for questioning in a homicide investigation.
Monica Palacioz, 33, is a "person of interest" in the Nov. 23, 2012 homicide that happened at 1903 Quincy St. #3 in east Bakersfield, where Joseph Vargas, 21, was shot in the head, according to the sheriff's news release.
Palacioz is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 3 inches, 190 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. Her last known address was in Madera.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 861-3110, Sgt. James Newell at 868-7972 or Secret Witness at 322-4040.
