Info sought on illegal trash on national forest land
By BREAKING NEWS BLOG
The Kern River Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest is looking for help in identifying those responsible for illegally dumping trash on Forest System land along Sierra Way, east of Kernville, between Camp 9 and Stine Cove.
The trash appears to be from a property remodel or small building demolition and includes windows, PVC piping, boards with gray paint and other building material. The debris was dumped over steep hillsides from several scenic pull-outs overlooking Isabella Lake.
The illegal dumping likely took place late Monday night.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Forest Service Kernville office at 760-376-3781 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
