A 34-year-old Bakersfield man died Monday night when he rolled his pickup truck and was ejected in the 3400 block of Christmas Tree Lane in northeast Bakersfield, authorities said.
The Kern County coroner's office identified him as Walter Cyrus.
At about 8:48 p.m. Monday, police found that a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup had rolled over and the sole occupant, later determined to be Cyrus, had been ejected, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The coroner's office said he died at the Kern Medical Center emergency room at 9:20 p.m.
No other vehicles were involved. Police haven't determined the cause of the collision, including whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
