At around midnight Friday night, Bakersfield and Kern County firefighters responded to a fire at a single story residence at 1312 Robinson St.
The house was completely consumed when firefighters arrived, and the roof collapsed soon after. They knocked down the fire within 10 minutes. No one was in the house. The damage was complete, and the house will have to be demolished.
This is the second fire in a year at this location, and it is considered suspicious. Bakersfield arson investigators are looking into the fire.
No firefighters were hurt in the blaze.
