Person of interest wanted in connection with homicide investigation

Kern County Sheriff's deputies are asking the public's help in finding Lisa Marie Ramos, who is wanted for questioning in a homicide investigation.
On Nov. 23, the body of 21-year-old Joseph Vargas was located at a residence in the 1900 block of Quincy Street in east Bakersfield. Vargas had been shot in the head and his death has been ruled a homicide.
Ramos is a person of interest in the investigation. She also has an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Kern County Sheriff's Department at 861-3110, Detective Andrew Avila at 391-7612 or Secret Witness at 322-4040. Anonymous text tips can be sent to TIP411 (847411); just type the keyword "KCSO" prior to the message.
