Delano police arrest suspect in 2005 shooting

Delano police arrested a man Thursday in connection with a fatal 2005 shooting, according to a Delano Police Department news release.
Armando Enrique Herrera, 27, of Earlimart, was arrested on suspicion of killing Ebelio Avila, 20, in June 2005, according to the news release.
Avila was sitting alone in the driver seat of his care when he was shot and killed by a lone assailant near 14th Avenue and Main Street, according to the news release.
Herrera was arrested at his home and booked in Kern County Jail without incident, according to the news release.
