By BREAKING NEWS BLOG
At 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Kern County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to investigate the suspicious death of a woman in the 21200 block of Prospect Avenue in Tehachapi.
The daughter of the woman had asked a family friend to check on her mother. The daughter lives out of town and had not been in contact with her mother for about two days.
The family friend entered the residence and found the woman's body. Homicide detectives did not find any evidence of foul play, and an autopsy will be scheduled to attempt to determine the cause and manner of death.
