Bicyclist struck by car at Garces Circle

At 11:08 a.m. Sunday, Bakersfield police responded to the 3000 block of Chester Avenue for a collision involving a car and a bicycle.
The car failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck a woman riding a bicycle on southbound Chester Avenue at Garces Circle.
The bicyclist suffered no visible injuries, but complained of pain and was taken to a local hospital. The driver of the car was not issued a citation, and neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be involved.
