Two teens stabbed near Highland High School

On Wednesday at about 3:31 p.m., officers of the Bakersfield Police Department were dispatched to the 5100 block of Charger Avenue near Highland High School regarding an assault with a knife.

Upon arrival, officers located two 16-year-old male victims who both sustained non-life threatening stab wounds. Both victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The suspects are described as six Hispanic males in their late teens to early 20s. They were last seen leaving the area in a full-sized white pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
