Found remains aren't human

It turns out the remains found in Buttonwillow aren't those of a human, sheriff's officials said Wednesday morning.
Deputies went to a residence in the 5600 block of Willard Street shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday to investigate possible human remains found on the property, according to a Kern County Sheriff's Department news release.
It was unclear if the remains were those of a human or animal.
But on Wednesday, the coroner's office examined them and found they weren't human, deputies reported. The sheriff's department didn't immediately share what kind of remains they were.
The investigation is considered closed.
