Two wounded in Arvin shooting

Two people were hospitalized Sunday morning after a shooting in Arvin.

Arvin police were called to the area of Grove and Hood streets around 1:30 a.m. for shots fired, according to a police department news release.

Two shooting victims, Christopher Ulloa, 32, and Francisco Jesus Banos, 19, arrived at the police department and were then taken to the hospital, said Sgt. Steven Schmick.

Pedro Amado Sanchez Jr., 21, was taken into custody later in connection with the incident, the news release said. The case is still under investigation.
