Three arrested when deputies respond to report of armed subject

At 11:41 a.m. Monday, the Kern County Sheriff's Office received to a report of a subject armed with a handgun at a residence in the 2700 block of Floral Drive.
Deputies responded to the residence and attempted to make contact with the occupants inside the residence using a loud speaker on a patrol vehicle. After about 40 minutes, three subjects, Victoria Monique Hernandez, 35; J. Paz Montoya, 22; and David Anthony Rios Jr., 27, exited the residence. Upon further investigation, all three subjects were arrested.
Hernandez arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property. Montoya was arrested on suspicion of removing his sheriff's parole ankle monitor and possession of stolen property. And Rios Jr. was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property. All three subjects were booked into the Kern County Jail.
