Suspect arrested in connection with Caldwell Drive shooting

Bakersfield police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting in the 3500 block of Caldwell Drive on Sunday.
James Deloney, 38, was arrested 9 p.m. in the 3900 block of Trenton Street and booked on suspicion of murder, being a felon in possession of a gun and participation in a criminal street gang.
Officers said several people were at a gathering in front of a residence about 2:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Caldwell Drive. A few minutes later, Deloney returned and fired several rounds at the victim.
