Tehachapi Police arrested three men on narcotics and paraphernalia charges early Monday after finding at least one of them in a parked car allegedly smoking heroin.
According to Tehachapi Police, an officer was patrolling in the area of Walnut and Cypress streets about 1:15 a.m. when she noticed a parked black 2000 Honda Civic occupied by two people.
The officer discovered that at least one of the two men in the car had been smoking heroin, and so-called "tar" heroin was recovered from the car and the men.
Arrested were Marc Eric McClay, 29, and Dylan Michael Knowles, 24, both of Tehachapi.
Since Knowles was already on probation and his brother, Jordan Lee Knowles, 20, of Tehachapi, had been arrested recently on charges of sales and possession of controlled substances, officers went to the Knowles residence on Fir Street.
Jordan Knowles was allegedly found in possession of 18 small packages of "tar" heroin and arrested.
McClay and Jordan Knowles were booked in the Kern County Jail; Dylan Knowles was released on a promise to appear.
