Tehachapi PD takes part in drug take-back

By THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN

The public can bring expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs to the Tehachapi Police Department from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29 as part of a take-back day, according to a news release from the department.

The drop-off will be at the department, at the corner of South Robinson and East F streets.

The Tehachapi Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff's Tehachapi substation are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency as part of National Drug Take Back Day.

"The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked," a department news release said. It's an effort to properly dispose of drugs and prevent pill abuse.
