Traffic stop leads to theft arrests

By BREAKING NEWS BLOG

Early Wednesday morning, Kern County sheriff's deputies stopped a white Ford Mustang at Fruitvale Park at Fruitvale Avenue and Norris Road.

The occupants were in possession of a credit card which had been stolen earlier that morning. Deputies also determined that two duffel bags in the car had been stolen from a vehicle.

Travis McCoy, 19, and Harry Duckworth, 20, were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy.

Deputies are trying to identify the owner of the two duffel bags. If anyone believes the duffel bags were stolen from their vehicle, call Detective Kevin Kimmel at 391-7586 to identify the contents.
