An inmate disturbance Saturday night at the Sheriff's Office Lerdo Jail caused officials to cancel Sunday visitation at the facility.

According to a sheriff's release, the disturbance began at 11:05 p.m. in the male minimum-security portion of the jail. Deputies separated the responsible inmates, the release stated, with help from deputies from the sheriff's metropolitan division.

Several inmates sustained minor injuries but none required hospitalization. No deputies were hurt.
