Search warrants net 7 arrests, drugs, guns

Three search warrants executed Wednesday afternoon netted Kern County investigators seven arrests along with narcotics and firearms.

The warrants were served in the 2100 block of Lester Street in Bakersfield and properties in the 100 block of Hughes Avenue in Oildale by the Kern County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Division.

At Lester Street, officers found narcotics and a person with two outstanding felony warrants.

At the Oildale locations, investigators found more narcotics plus firearms, ammunition, counterfeit U.S. currency and stolen property.

Arrested were Tammie Maldanado, 41, Paul Parra Jr., 33, Mack Black, 44, Christian Ramirez, 21, Leonard Marella, 31, Sabrina Villareal, 23, Ravin Bowers, 24, and Delfino Barboza, 28.

The operation involved Cal-MMET, Central Valley HIDTA, Sheriff's Major Investigations Unit, KNET and the Special Operations Group.
