Suspect drunken driving the cause of highway crash Tuesday

At 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Daniel Bohl of Tehachapi was traveling eastbound on Highway 202 in the area of Reeves Street when he allowed his vehicle to veer to the left and enter the westbound lane of the highway.
His vehicle collided head-on with a 2001 Toyota Tundra that was traveling westbound. The Toyota was driven by Tehachapi resident Victor Austin.
Victor Austin and his passenger, Dorothy Austin, were taken to Kern Medical Center with moderate injuries. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
Bohl was taken to Kern Medical Center and then arrested on suspicion of DUI. His injuries were described as moderate.
The Californian Highway Patrol is reminding motorists that If a driver injures or kills someone as a result of drunken driving it is a felony in the state of California. Don't drink and drive, and always designate a sober driver.
