Suspects at large in home invasion robbery
By BREAKING NEWS BLOG
At 11:45 p.m. Dec. 24, deputies responded to a robbery in the 8500 block of Hall Road in Lamont.
Maximo Arrillaga and Anselmo Arrellano told deputies they'd been robbed at gunpoint. Arrillaga said he was in his kitchen when a suspect later identified as 24-year-old Ivan Alfaro forced open the back door and entered armed with a shotgun.
Two female suspects also entered the home.
Alfaro struck Arrillaga in the head with the shotgun and kicked him in the face and removed two cell phones, a wallet and the keys to Arrillaga's vehicle. Arrellano was asleep at the time but woke up and entered the kitchen and cash was taken from him.
The suspects left in Arrillaga's vehicle, which was stopped on Dec. 28. Hector Rodriguez, 38, was driving the vehicle and Isabel Garcia, 30, identified as one of the suspects who took part in the robbery, was also in the vehicle.
Garcia and Rodriguez were arrested for unrelated charges.
Alfaro is still at large and a warrant charging burglary, robbery, carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy has been issued for his arrest. The second female suspect has not been identified.
Anyone with information on Alfaro's whereabouts, or information on the second female suspect, is asked to call the Kern County Sheriff's Department at 861-3110 or Secret Witness at 322-4040.
