Pedestrian dies after he's hit in Ridgecrest

A 19-year-old Ridgecrest pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday and died.
Mychael Thomas was hit at Las Flores Street at North Fairview Road in Ridgecrest at 5:15 p.m. and died at the scene, according to a news release from the coroner's division of the Kern County Sheriff's Department.
The Ridgecrest Police Department is investigating.
