Suspect reportedly forced entry to residence, sexually assaulted victim

A sexual assault was reported early Thursday in the 4300 block of Columbus Street in northeast Bakersfield.

Police said they learned the suspect forced entry in the victim's residence, where he bound and sexually assaulted her. The suspect then left with items of value from the residence.

Police said suspect is described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, 6 feet tall, with a medium build, wearing a black ski mask, dark-colored shirt, black jean shorts, and black and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Detective John Jamison at 326-3921.
