Man shot, suspects arrested

A man shot in Bakersfield Wednesday night told police he knew who did it.

Bakersfield Police said the man was shot at about 6:12 p.m. in the area of 32nd and San Dimas streets.

Police said the suspect, later identified as 39-year-old Gregorio Zamora, was the passenger in a white Nissan Altima that fled.

Police found the Altima in the alleyway of the 800 block of 31st Street. The driver, 21-year-old Jesse Zamora of Bakersfield, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.

Police said that after a short stand-off with officers at a home in the 800 block of 30th Street, Gregorio Zamora was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.

Police asked that anyone with information call 327-7111.
