Suspect arrested in Pine Mountain Club shooting

A man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder for a July shooting near Pine Mountain Club.
On July 20, a 23-year-old man was shot in the 2100 block of Symonds Drive, according to a Kern County Sheriff's Department news release. He was flown to Kern Medical Center and his injuries were not considered life-threatening, deputies said.
On Thursday, deputies from the Frazier Park substation and Special Investigations Division arrested Shaun Sengsavang when they served a search warrant and an arrest warrant on a home in 2300 block of Boyd Street in Bakersfield, according to a sheriff's department news release. A handgun, ammunition and other evidence was seized from the home, deputies said.
Sengsavang was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a firearm and booked into the downtown jail.
