Police asking for information regarding fatal shooting

Bakersfield police are asking for people with information concerning the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old woman on L Street to come forward.
Laura Zenia Porras was shot while standing to the front of an apartment complex in the 700 block of L Street at 11:42 p.m. Monday, Bakersfield police have said. The circumstances and motive remain under investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111 or Detective James Moore at 326-3540, even if they believe the information is unimportant or was perhaps previously provided.
