A Bakersfield mother injured her 2-year-old daughter Tuesday night when she hit the girl with a vehicle.
Megan Fanucchi, 24, hit her daughter when backing up a compact vehicle at a low speed, according to a Bakersfield Police Department news release. Police were called to the 1600 block of V Street at 5:53 p.m. for a report that a child had been hit by a vehicle.
The girl was taken to a hospital where doctors said her injuries were not life-threatening, the news release said. Police said neither alcohol or drugs did not contribute to the incident and criminal charges are not anticipated in the case.
