Hundreds of Verizon customers in Lost Hills lose service after line cut

A total of 481 Verizon customers have lost phone service to their homes in the Lost Hills area after a Verizon line was accidentally cut Wednesday.
The line was expected to be repaired between late Wednesday and early Thursday, according to a Kern County Fire Department news release.
Local residents with an emergency can call 911 with a cell phone or go directly to Kern County Fire Station 26 in Lost Hills, located just north of Highway 46 at 14670 Lost Hills Road, the news release said. The station number is 797-2308.
The California Highway Patrol and the Kern County Sheriff's Department are also aware of the problem, the news release said. An alternative number for the sheriff's department in the event of an emergency is 861-3110.
