Deputies looking for suspect in screwdriver stabbing

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Kern County Sheriff's deputies were sent to a victim of a stabbing in the 1200 block of Padre Street.
When deputies arrived, they found a 19-year-old Hispanic man who was suffering from a single stab wound to the top of his head. The victim was taken to Kern Medical Center for his injuries.
Witnesses on scene told deputies that Roman Perez had been involved in an argument with the victim in a residence on the 1300 block of Padre Street when he stabbed the victim in the head with a screwdriver. Perez fled prior to deputies arrival in a silver Dodge Neon.
Perez is described as a Hispanic man, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Perez was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and black beanie cap. The weapon is still outstanding.
