Suspect at large in Tuesday stabbing

At 5:17 p.m. Tuesday, Bakersfield police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1100 block of O Street.
Officers found a 61-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-lifethreatening injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Larry Alvarez, 57, described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Alvarez knows the victim.
Anyone with information on Alvarez's whereabouts is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
