Carjacking suspect booked on suspicion of numerous offenses

On Monday, Wasco substation deputies investigated a carjacking in which the victim reported being struck with a weapon by 31-year-old Abel Rocha.
Rocha had left the area, but the next day deputies responded to the 1000 block of 12 Street and saw Rocha run from the back of the property. He was found in the 1000 block of 11th Street.
Rocha was arrested on suspicion of carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, criminal threats and witness intimidation in connection with three incidents within three days.
