Suspect wanted for attempted sexual assault

Bakersfield police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect wanted for attempted sexual assault.
At 12:40 a.m. Nov. 21, officers were told an employee of a business in the 4800 block of Fairfax Road had left the building and was confronted by the suspect. The suspect dragged the victim to a secluded area where he attempted to sexually assault her.
The victim struggled with the suspect and he ran away.
The suspect is described as black, wearing a black, shimmering stocking over his head and face, black long-sleeved shirt, black pants and a large silver ring on his right hand.
Anyone with information regarding this case or the identity of this suspect is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111 or Detective John Jamison at 326-3921.
