Ridgecrest man stabbed to death

A Ridgecrest man died Wednesday morning after he was stabbed, according to a coroner's news release.
Melvin O. Allen, 47, was stabbed in the 400 block of West Felspar Street at 3:20 a.m. and died about an hour later at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, according to a Kern County Sheriff's Department coroner section news release. The Ridgecrest Police Department is investigating the homicide case.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
