By BREAKING NEWS BLOG
Arvin police are seeking information on three shootings that happened last week, and it's not yet known if they are related.
The Arvin Police Department described the Nov. 4 incidents in a news release on Sunday as follows:
Officers went to the 690 block of Comanche Road shortly after 1:30 a.m. for a report of six shots heard and a gunshot victim in an apartment complex. They found Ismael Hernandez, 25, had been shot twice, and he was taken to Kern Medical Center.
While working on that crime scene, officers heard several shots to the south and dispatchers told them gunshots were heard in the area of Wernli Court and Schipper Avenue. David Reyes, 23, was found with a gunshot to the buttocks in the 900 block of Austin Court.
Then a Kern County Sheriff's Department deputy stopped a truck at Highway 58 and Fairfax Road. Deputies found another gunshot victim, Jose Arredondo, 22, was being taken to KMC by friends. They were told Arredondo had been picked up at Comanche Road and Bear Mountain Boulevard.
Arvin police ask that anyone who witnessed any of the shootings or has information to call the police department's watch commander at 854-5583.
