Arvin car crash kills two Lamont men

By THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN

Two Lamont men died about 6:10 a.m. Saturday after a crash at Edison and David Roads in Arvin.

Cristobal G. Cisneros, 25, of Arvin, was driving his 2007 Chevrolet Corvette south on Edison when he failed to stop for a 1997 Mazda traveling eastbound on David, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Cisneros ignored a stop sign there, police said.

The Mazda contained driver Omar Parra-Garcia, 39, and passenger Ignacio Garcia, 48, both from Lamont, police said.

After the impact, the Mazda continued southeast and struck an electrical pole, killing the men even though both were wearing seatbelts.

Cisneros suffered minor injuries for which he was treated at Kern Medical Center, police said.
