Father found guilty in baby's 2010 death

The father of a 2-month-old baby who died in October 2010 has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and assault on a child causing great bodily harm.
Serjio Luevano is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 6.
His daughter, Kiera Luevano, suffered blunt force trauma and severe bleeding on the brain, deputies reported. Detectives established probable cause that the injuries were inflicted by the father.
Kiera was taken to Kern Medical Center after she stopped breathing Oct. 11, 2010 and was later airlifted to Children's Hospital Central California in Madera. She died Oct. 15.
