Composite developed of attempted kidnapping suspect

    The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect in an attempted kidnapping at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22 in the 3400 block of Chester Avenue. Police released this sketch and said a teenage girl reported a man grabbed her and tried to force her into a vehicle.

Police say a composite of an attempted kidnapping suspect has been developed and they're asking anyone with information to come forward.

A female teenage reported being grabbed by a man in the 3400 block of Chester Ave. at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 16. She told officers the suspect tried to force her into his vehicle, but she managed to escape and call for help.

Police said the suspect is described as a black man in his late 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a large build. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark green, late 1990s 4-door Honda Accord with rear tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Galland at 326-3557.
