Traffic alert: Injury accident at southbound Highway 99 south of Highway 166

If you're travelling south on Highway 99 south of Bakersfield, be aware that as of 6:30 p.m., an injury accident has closed at least two of three lanes just south of the Highway 166 overpass as emergency services workers assist the injured. Details are still sketchy, but it appears a helicopter ambulance is also on scene.
