Two people suffered major injuries in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening believed to be a result of drunk driving.
Sean Stone, 38, of Bakersfield, was riding his motorcycle with his wife, Keri Stone, westbound on Snow Road just west of Jewetta Avenue, California Highway Patrol officers reported. Victor Supertino, 64, of Bakersfield, was driving a pickup pulling a horse trailer ahead of Stone.
Supertino tried to make a U-turn from the westbound right shoulder to eastbound Snow Road in front of the approaching motorcycle, the CHP reported. The motorcycle hit the left side of the horse trailer and both Sean and Keri Stone suffered major injuries.
Sean Stone was later arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
