Construction to stop on I-5 in Buttonwillow over holiday weekend
By BREAKING NEWS BLOG
Construction activities and closures stopped today and will resume Sept. 10 on Interstate 5 in Buttonwillow.
Motorists should experience no impacts due to construction within the project limits, which are from two miles south of 7th Standard Road to south of Highway 58, near the Highway 119 and Highway 43 junctions.
Construction lane closures will remain in place for other active construction projects on southbound I-5 in and near Lebec and Gorman. Motorists should avoid traveling through these areas between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and Monday to avoid higher levels of congestion and longer delays.
