Small fire contained near Montecito

SANTA BARBARA -- Fire officials say they have fully contained a blaze that broke out in the hills above the community of Montecito, near Santa Barbara.
Los Padres National Forest spokesman Andrew Madsen says some homes were evacuated earlier Tuesday as a precaution, but the order was quickly lifted.
The blaze began shortly before noon Tuesday in heavy brush and was believed to be up to 10 acres in size at one point, but Madsen says it was closer to 1 acre in size.
Air tankers and water-dropping helicopters attacked flames with about 50 firefighters.
There were no reports of any injuries. Three hikers who were in the area managed to get to a safe area and were picked up by fire crews.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
