Two women accused of stabbing another woman

Deputies arrested two women on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy Tuesday that they believe stabbed another woman multiple times.
Deputies were sent to the 1800 block of Monterey Street at about 6:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a victim of a stabbing. The victim, a 31-year-old woman whose name was not released, had already been taken to Kern Medical Center, where she was in serious but stable condition, according to a Kern County Sheriff's news release.
She had been walking in the north alley of Monterey Street when she was confronted by two women, identified as Evelyn Garcia, 46, and Amanda Saucedo, 21, and a fight began, the news release said. Garcia and Saucedo fled, but were arrested early Tuesday at a residence in the 1000 block of Flower Street, deputies said.
