Man stabbed following fight

A man was stabbed in the chest early Tuesday morning after a group of people walking in the 900 block of Grace Street confronted the victim and a fight started, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Department.
The 33-year-old man, who had not been identified, was taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment and was in moderate condition, according to a sheriff's news release.
Deputies were originally sent to the scene on a report of a physical fight involving numerous people. The group fled.
