Three BPD officers, Explorer go to hospital after collision

Bakersfield Police said three officers and an adult Explorer were taken to a hospital early Friday after they were involved in a traffic collision.

Police tried to do a traffic stop at 12:30 a.m. at Tulare and Quincy streets, but the vehicle led officers on a pursuit. Police said they found out the vehicle was reported stolen; the occupants were later arrested.

During the chase, two BPD officers crashed with one another at Grace and Robinson streets. Police said two officers from one vehicle and an officer and Explorer in the other had minor injuries.
