Suspect wanted for receiving a stolen vehicle

Bakersfield police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect wanted for receiving a stolen vehicle.

On Sept. 28, the victim's vehicle was stolen from the 400 block of Chiapas Avenue during a residential burglary. Two days later, the suspect was seen in surveillance video in possession of the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds with black hair, goatee and mustache.

Anyone with information regarding this case or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111 or Detective Dennis Murphy at 326-3555.
