Man arrested in connection with east Bakersfield shooting

Bakersfield police Wednesday morning arrested a man in connection with a shooting earlier this week.

Nicholas Salinas, 33, of Bakersfield, was arrested during a traffic stop.

After questioning at the police department, he was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and booked into the Kern County Jail.

Salinas is believed involved in the 7 p.m. shooting on Jan. 27 in the south alley of the 700 block of Sumner Street.
