Suspect arrested on suspicion of dozens of counts of forgery

In March of last year, the Bakersfield police began a forgery investigation in which numerous business surveillance videos were reviewed and people interviewed.
The investigation revealed the suspect, Natasha Thompson, passed numerous forged checks using false names and bank account information. An arrest warrant was obtained for Thompson for 52 counts of forgery and 13 counts of burglary.
Thompson, 29, was arrested on Jan. 15.
