Brace for dense fog on Monday throughout the Central and Southern San Joaquin Valley.
A dense fog advisory is in effect from 2 to 11 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Hanford.
The NWS predicts that visibility will be reduced to less than a quarter of a mile in places, and in some areas might be less than 200 feet.
The fog is forecast to develop after 2 a.m. and dissipate in the late morning hours.
The NWS said impacted highways could include 43 and 99 in Kern County. Officials urged motorists to slow down and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
