Toddler's death doesn't appear suspicious, police say

Delano Police continue to investigate a toddler's death, but said Thursday that the boy's death does not appear suspicious.

Andrew Ceja, 1 year and nine months old, was found dead at his home in the 300 block of Calle Felix, according to the Delano Police Department and the Kern County coroner's office. Delano Police Detective Corporal Ryan Wilson said the boy's father found him.

Wilson said the investigation is ongoing and police are handling as they would any death investigation.

"There doesn't appear to be anything suspicious at this time," Wilson said.

Ceja was pronounced dead at his home. An examination was preformed Thursday but Ceja's cause of death is still pending, a coroner's news release said.
