Report of suicidal man leads to arrest

On Monday, Frazier Park substation deputies responded to the 600 block of Canyon Drive in Lebec regarding a report of a man threatening to commit suicide with a gun.
Joseph Birds, 32, was found outside his residence and detained. Birds was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance while armed with a gun.
No one was injured.
